A day at the Broyles Award

12/10/2013 9:21 AM

Man what a day of guests...

We started the day by talking with Florida State defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt. He had nice insight about the comparison between Nick Saban and Jimbo Fisher.

From there we got Arkansas boy Rhett Lashlee (Auburn OC) and Phillip Montgomery (Baylor OC) on at the same time! Talk about two offenses that can flat out move the football.

Arkansas State defensive coordinator John Thompson was making his way to the Broyles Award and decided to call in and say hey to the guys. If Bryan Harsin were to leave for Boise State, John has the full endorsement of the SWNN for the next head coach job at ASU (for whatever that is worth).

We switched off of football for a brief moment in the 9:00 hour to talk with Gretchen Hall from the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau. Today is the day to go vote on whether your tax dollars will be used to renovate Robinson auditorium. Gretchen told us all about what was involved in the vote.

Back to football....The 9:00 hour was packed as we had MIchigan State defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi and Duke Offensive Coordinator Kurt Roper to round out the day.

Whew...I told you it was a lot of guests! Now off to the Broyles Award Ceremony. We will have a full report tomorrow!

Thanks for listening
