Give the Arkansas Razorbacks credit. They had a game plan and stuck with it. The offense has been able to move the ball down the field, but not able to put points on the board through the first five games this year.

Tonight the Hogs stopped the Tigers on their first possession and took their opening drive down the field and were able to put three points on the scoreboard, their first points in the first quarter all year.

The Arkansas defense set the tempo early and after the first three and out, they add four more on the night.

Tommy Tuberville scrapped the spread offense in the middle of the week and fired Offensive Coordinator Tony Franklin. From the looks of the Auburn offense tonight, he might try and find a Quarterback. The Tigers had open receivers; they just couldn’t get the ball to them.

The Razorbacks however won the battle in the trenches. In the Southeastern Conference, when you can win the battle in the trenches, you will win the game on the scoreboard as well.

Casey Dick had poise and confidence in the pocket and knew when to let the ball go and not get sacked. The O-Line gave him the time he needed and gave Michael Smith lanes to rush 35 times for 176 yards. Darren McFadden had a big game here two years ago, tonight Michael Smith reminded me of Fred Talley.

Remember it is only one game. Yes the team deserves this win and should be proud and hold their heads high. They came to the plain and played with passion and a desire to win.

Next week the Hogs will stay on the road as they travel to Lexington, Kentucky to take on SEC East foe Kentucky. A win there will lead into a big week for most Arkansas fans when they return to Fayetteville and take on Ole Miss, but you must take it one game at a time.

Tonight the Hogs caged the Tigers!
