SEC TOURNAMENT SETS UP IN TAMPA

Tampa, Florida -
It is time for the SEC Tournament. The only difference this year is Razorback fans have to travel further than ever before. The SEC has moved the tournament from the Georgia Dome in Atlanta to the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa.
If they are like me, the Golf Clubs also got checked at the ticket counter this morning.
Most SEC Tournament trips are to Atlanta. This year, Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport was the connection.
You could see and feel the excitement building at the gate waiting to board the plane for Tampa. First I spotted referee Mike Stuart. Then I turned to my left and Dave Baker with Raycom Sports was walking to the front of the line to board the plane along with several Kentucky "Blue" fans.
In a down economy fans are not really buying up the tickets. Kentucky and Arkansas have struggled this year and I don't think either team will be around for the weekend, but I could be wrong. If Kentucky and Arkansas get bounced early, the fans might follow. Tampa has rolled out the red carpet for the SEC. The decision to even bring the tournament here was made several years ago.
I personally am glad that the SEC is here, there is so much to do. Some MLB teams hold their spring training here and Florida is known to have a few good golf courses. It just so happens that I brought my golf clubs with me here and made a 7:45 tee time tomorrow morning. I will fill you in on the golf and also keep you up to date on everything happening with the SEC Tournament tomorrow.
