Vols out muscle Hogs

Fayetteville - Tennessee head coach Bruce Pearl knew exactly what to do when his Vols couldn't hit from the outside.  He told them to go inside.  And inside they went.

Tennessee shot 1 of 9 from behind the three point line in the second half for a grand total of 11 percent, but they shot 55 percent from the floor.  They went inside and dominated by getting offensive rebounds and easy put backs.

Arkansas had no answer inside.  With Rotnei Clarke not hitting his outside shot and not going to the free throw line, the Hogs could not muscle with the Vols.

It looks like the media might have been right back in Birmingham at SEC media days by picking these Hogs to finish last in the West.  Unless they find a groove soon, the media will be right.

Arkansas hits the road for two straight games at Mississippi State on Saturday and at Auburn next Wednesday before coming back home to play Kentucky.

Arkansas needs some luck or even the NIT might be out of their reach in March.
