AUBURN SURVIVES SCARE FROM OLE MISS

North Little Rock - The SEC Womens regular season champion Auburn Tigers almost gave away the game to the Ole Miss Rebels this afternoon at Alltel Arena.  Auburn led by six at the half and stretched that lead to 18 with 14:02 to play.  Ole Miss then mounted a comeback. 

The Lady Rebels were fueled by their 25 or so fans in attendance to make it close.  They tied it with less than 4 minutes to paly but were unable to get the lead.  Each time Auburn needed a basket they got it and their 100 fans drowned out the Hotty Toddy.

Auburn was led by SEC player of the year, DeWanna Bonner who finished the game with 32 points and 13 rebounds.  She had a double-double secured at the half with 14 points and 10 rebounds. 

Ole Miss was led by 25 points from Shawn Goff.  Bianca Thomas who had 31 yesterday against Arkansas could only come up with 12 today thanks to the tough defense by the Auburn Tigers.

Auburn will play the winner of tonights Tennessee - Florida game.
