Today we were joined by Randy Dixon from the Pryor Center for Oral and Visual History and he brought a CD full of some great audio from years past. In this segment we hear some audio from Brooks Robinson circa '71 and August Busch talking about the Cardinals. Also in this segment a Highlight reel from the Great Shootout of 1969. You can hear lots of other great audio the Pryor Center has available on their website and even download it and burn it for your own use simply by visiting their website HERE.
In studio we were joined by musician Matt Stell who will be performing at the Rev Room Saturday night for his CD release party. By now they have surely cleaned up all of the blood and other fluids that Big Baby was sprayed with at last Sunday's GWAR theatrical performance. His new album is called a River Through it and you can purchase tickets for the show at The Rev Room and if you haven't had the pleasure of hearing Matt's music, you can visit his website HERE.
In our ZONE REWIND, we look back at some of the best interview and show moments from the week. In this segment we also fit in some more great audio Randy Dixon provided us, including a fantastic raw take from legendary Paul Eells.
In our Zone Segment of the Day, we play a hilarious interview compilation inspired by a similar Jimmy Kimmel bit. A reporter goes around and asks NFL fans what they think of some prospects, all of which are fake names. That does not stop the people being interviewed from pretending to know all about them.
Coming up Monday, we will be live from Landers Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and will be joined by KATV's Chris "Sugar" Kane. We will have gameballs and jockstraps and recap the NBA, the weekends Razorback Baseball series at Georgia and get the updates on the Draft and what other Razorbacks are headed to the NFL. Have a fun and safe weekend and we thank you for listening to The Zone weekdays from 10 to 1!
