ROAD TO ABERDEEN

7/29/2014 1:28 PM

Tuesday in The Zone we were joined by Coach Jeff Poe and his 12 year-old All-Star team.

They are the Little Rock Junior Deputy Rangers and are raising money to make the trip to Aberdeen, Maryland for the 2014 Cal Ripken World Series. For all the locations to make a donation to help send the guys to the Series click HERE.

Pat had a fun topic about Jersey numbers. That’s what we talk about in this segment.

From Sporting Life Arkansas we talk to Jim Harris. He called in a little late today.

Here is some talk about Johnny Manziel’s jersey. I hear that thing is a big seller.

As always, we thank you for listening to The Zone from 10 to 1!

“We will make a very concerted effort, and I personally think we are going to become a haven for free agents,” said Hawks part owner and CEO Steve Koonin. “We have so much to offer … Coach Bud, the style of play and an incredible lifestyle in what I believe is the best city in the world to live in. We’ve got a team on the ascent and an organization on the rise. History is not an indicator of what’s to come.”
No team got more bang for its buck out of its free-agent pickup than the Hawks got out of Paul Millsap, who made the Eastern Conference All-Star team after signing a two-year, $19 million deal last summer
