The Show With No Name

Bruce Day

Arkansas Federal Credit Union gives us the opportunity to have Bruce James on The Show With No Name every Tuesday.  Bruce is a throw back for sure. No, not old school, throwback. When playing for the Hogs was a privilege and tackling was wrapping somebody up! He was part of the Razorback teams that made them why we love them today.  (Texas fumble v Arkansas 1969. James Street #16, Bobby Mitchell #64 and Randy Peschel #40 of Texas and Cliff Powell #64, Bruce James #85 and Dick Bumpas #61 of Arkansas)

The fella from Moss Point, Mississippi has that Razorback blood! (you had to listen today to get that reference) You put him in the same room with Razorback linebacker extraordinaire, David Bazzel  during Alabama game week, and you got a great big steaming bowl of Hog hormones! We can't play stupid questions trivia, birthday guesses, and recipe talk with the biggest and early season defining game this Saturday in Tuscaloosa. Well, we could have that talk and probably will at some point just not today. I just have to sit back while those two slobberknocker giver-outers talk match-ups and game planning. Oh make no mistake my friend, The Outlaw was in the thick of things but, he has enough respect to know that the guys that played in big games in big time football programs should have the floor. Bruce and Baz both have bad legs from the experience on the field. The only way I can come close to that is when my legs fall asleep in the bathroom.

Bruce didn't say who he thought would get their hair shaved this weekend. Tommy and RJ if Hogs win or David and me if Hogs get cheated. He is a Razorback all the way. All agree that on paper Bama is the better team. Bruce James and David Bazzel didn't strap it on to play paper football.

Tomorrow Lindy and Wild Man in the studio.

Remember you don't have to buy a new car to be treated like you did. Fletcher Dodge has a wide selection of cars to fit every budget. Just for stopping by and talking with the Fletcher guys you get dinner for two at Benihana Japanese Steakhouse.
