The Show With No Name

Hump Day!

9/28/2011 12:03 PM

The Show With No Name is proud to help you get your Hump Day started. Boy did we come out of the gate humming this morning. Tommy and I watched the latest 30 for 30 last night. David was busy and forgot to set the DVR. But, I'm sure we got him worked up as we did others with our squirrel in the middle of a busy street run down of the show.  It featured the Bill Buckner error in Game 6 of the 1986 World Series and Game 6 of the NLCS where the world got their first glimpse of Chicago Cubs fan,  Steve Bartman. If you haven't seen it, go ahead and do yourself a favor and watch it. That lead us into the best baseball movies of all time. No clear cut winner but, The Natural gets a lot of votes all the time. I don't hate it. It's not the best for me. I like Major League. I got slammed for liking Angels in the Outfield. Now that I think about that, the jeers were justified. Who am I?

'Wild Man' Steve Wilson was in with Curtis the bow expert. Bow Deer season or is it Deer Bow season? One of those starts this weekend.

Lindy came in the studio as she does most Wednesdays with what is up for the week at the station. The biggie of course is the trip we all take down to Big D for the Southwest Classic this Saturday. She also stuck around for a game of Battle of the Sexes.

Comedian Lewis Black has never been to Arkansas but, will be performing at the annual Wal-Mart stockholders meeting whenever they do that up in Bentonville. What? I don't know when it is. It's usually a secret and they DANG sure don't want me knowing about it. Anyway, Lewis also has a new CD out now that he's promoting and picked The Buzz morning show and our audience to be the first hear about it in Arkansas. What do you think of that.....Spanky!?

Tomorrow Mark May........Mark Miller makes the drop in the station parking lot.............Bobby Tucker cooks hot dogs for the station...........Come on by if'n you want one
