The Show With No Name

Happy Birthday and Welcome Back

10/26/2011 12:50 PM

Today The Show With No Name wishes one of its own a Happy Birthday. The 26th year in the life of Robert James Hawk Jr. begins today. His struggles with math and the number two have been duly noted on the show. Little is known about the awkward way his right foot points sideways. They say that's caused by Texas water. That I can't verify but, I can call RJ my friend. Happy Birthday bup!

Lindy Lanford was in studio today. You know Mrs. Lanford. She is the former Lindy Blackstone. Fresh back from her honeymoon in Mexico, the newlywed promotions director was back in the saddle and gave us our itinerary. Before she left we played a round of Battle of the Sexes for a certificate to The Butcher Shop.

Speaking of The Butcher Shop. Al Watkins was at Monday nights game 5 of The World Series between the Rangers and Cardinals in Texas. He called in this morning and could attest to the loud noise that caused Tony La Russa problems with his bullpen. Of course Al being a baseball man as well as a fantastic chef wasn't buying that excuse that may prove to have cost his beloved Red Birds a Championship. Al did send me a photo of him and his daughter at the game but, it's too big for me to download at this juncture.

'Wild Man' Wilson brought fishing lure expert Lawrence Taylor with him today. This L. T. looks nothing like the one that played linebacker for the Giants and did crack. Steve always takes calls with your questions about anything outdoors regardless of his special guest.

Tomorrow we have Cajuns feeding us and Mark May talking to us from his home in parts unknown to me because David is afraid I will track May down and bother him with my lame Cowboy questions. Tommy said we'll also pick up where we left off on Horror movie talk. Stop by if ya will ya hear.

Remember you don't have to buy a new car to be treated like you did. Fletcher Dodge has a wide selection of cars to fit every budget. Just for stopping by and talking with the Fletcher guys you get dinner for two at Benihana Japanese Steakhouse.

Check out THIS WEEKS deals.  2009 Toyota Carolla Sport, 34 mpg, 45k miles, only $14888.

Or this 2011 Kia Forte 2 door Coupe, brilliant red, great gas mileage, just $16997
Check everywhere you want but, check with Fletcher Dodge Chrysler Jeep in Sherwood before you make your final decision. You will be glad you did.
