2011 Studio So Long
12/29/2011 10:11 AM
The Show With No Name spent the last day in the studio for 2011. No it's not because we are moving to new digs, NO! We will be at Fletcher Dodge tomorrow. We started out the last time in house for the year talking about Frank Broyles and Cam Newton before we got Weather Ninja on the phone. Then we came back and David Bazzel asks me about my night at Shooters Sports Bar and Grill. Last night myself, Justin Acre, and Matt Couch represented Signal Media as judges for a Karaoke contest at the bar off I-30. For some reason that I can only credit to his love for me , Mr. Bazzel ask me if I was living the lie.
Something happened again yesterday for Tommy to say that guys over a certain age that wear jerseys are goof ball dorks. The consensus out there is Tommy is right. Unless you are a goof ball dork of course. Baz said he wore a jersey but, he had pads under his! Admittedly I put myself in the path of the bus. And I guess if I do get hit by one it is best if it's driven by a buddy.
Trainer to the Stars, Andrea came in house to celebrate the closing of 2011 with The Buzz.We started off with the latest Toby Kieth song, Red Solo Cup and then got into breast feeding in public. I told ya we can morph at any time. To prove my last statement true, we move on to Kum & Go, dingy Verizon Arena , and the empty Trolley. What happened to breast feedin' at Target?! I wasn't through with that talk yet.
Tommy has been saying that some of the funniest and strange things or comments happen during commercial breaks. Most times we'll continue those thoughts when we return. Toothless football players and ones that urinate on the field while Andrea was pulling out the gray hair from David's sideburns happened during one break today. No need to back up and read that again. In the words of Ricky Bobby, "That just happened"!
And the year, in studio or out, would not have been complete without an after Christmas Sales Blitz call from the lovable telemarketer Ernie and discussion about a dreaded procedure for women that involves mesh ties for their innards. Tommy learned of this during a recent viewing of all things, John Wayne in True Grit. Say it with me.......Thanks a lot Bin Laden!
