" Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler "

The Show With No Name celebrated Fat Tuesday this morning. What did we do you ask? The same thing we would do whether it was Fat Tuesday or any other Tuesday. We informed and entertained. OK, maybe we did or not. I'm really not the person to speak on that. What I can confidently say is, we had fun.
We started out with a game concerning songs with a city name in the title. Each one of us picked a song and you had to guess what it would be. You all did a great job. Tommy had Jackson. No brainer there with his and Lindy's connection. Mine took a little thinking of my likes, and it was picked rather quickly. Houston, by Dean Martin. You with me now? David tried to go all thought provoking with his selection of China Grove, by The Doobie Brothers. I had no idea what he was talking about. It all started with his confusion of Wichita being a state. Yep! Wichita, Wichita! Almost as bad was when it came to RJ Hawk and his choice. It took him the entire first hour before we finally nailed him down. And he chose El Paso, by Marty Robbins.
Our favorite guy from Down Under, Brett Battle, from the Plant Outlet, stopped by on his way home from his appearance on KATV's Day Break.
While we're at it. It's sweeps week all over the country. That being said, we stay with KATV Ch. 7 and Christina Munoz. She is doing a segment on the act of terrorism that happened in our state a couple of years ago. The terrible tragedy involving the shooting of two army recruiters.
The 60 annual Home Show is coming up and we had Bob and the boys in to tell a little about it. It gave us the opportunity to talk about another subject we like, BURGERS! The Best Burger in the state contest is coming up soon. Oh the joy!
While we will have the burger contest in a few weeks or so, it didn't hurt to talk about food because, we had Robert Denton and April in studio today and they brought grub. Tonite is Fat Tuesday celebration and goings on in Saline County at Denton's Trotline. Join us all on The Back Porch starting at 6.
Next month the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute will host it's first film forum, March 8-11. One of the speakers will be Lea Thompson. She hung out with us in the studio today and got kind of flirty with me. She sat so close to me that I got a little uncomfortable being the married man that I am. Not to mention the fact that she is a married woman. I finally had to tell her to stop rubbing up against me like that in front of others. OK! She called in! There! Are ya happy now!?
Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday. Will we give up anything? Tune in and find out first hand.
