Hump Day Helper

Lets see.....where we? Oh yea. The Show With No Name continues Day 2 of Arkansans helping Arkansans. Yesterday The Artist Formerly Know as The Outlaw, Tommy Smith, gave us all tips about the heat, lawn care, bloodletting....I mean, blood giving. All while lining up a trip to improve our minds with a tour of a museum. "But what about the Hogs? I thought The Buzz 1037 was a sports station"? It is, it is. We talked Hog baseball and NBA for crying out loud. Was Harold Horton, the Harold Horton that was part of the only Razorback football team to win 3 championships in a row not good enough for? The same Harold Horton that put the UCA Bears on the map, not worthy of your consideration? Well it should have been. We even discussed ending the program immediately after the conversation with Coach Horton. I'm sure some of you wished we did. But no! Too much was left to give you.
Brett Battle was in the neighborhood and thought he might stop by. Although we are also your outdoor and nature experts what with Tommy explaining tips for proper tree pruning and mole eradication. Myself with lawn mowing DOs and DON'Ts on my Gravely and sealing up wasp nest with caulk. And of course David Bazzel with a class on tanning!
Alan Gibson needed to let us know that it's that time of the year when blood supplies need our attention. Not just because of the increase in accidents traveling the roadways and all that entails but, also, as Tommy explains, how the Arkansas heat can cause us harm that requires hospitalization. Where will you get your blood? Arkansans helping Arkansans. And that pretty much sums up yesterday.
This morning The Artist that once was The Outlaw, put his hand out to help a small community in The Natural State. Floyd, Arkansas...population 400?....maybe....I really don't know........SAAAAAALUTE! Floyd is an unincorporated community in western White County, Arkansas. The rural community is situated along highways 31 and 305. Though relatively small, the community maintains a variety of activities and institutions throughout the year, notably its annual parade and display of fireworks during Independence Day. It is that notably notable Independence Day parade and festivities that is in jeopardy. Someone stole all their stuff. That's when Tommy decided he has to do something and David and I are not gonna stand in his way. Not a chance. We are all for it! And so are you! Monica is our Floyd go to person and we are putting her in contact with the people that are in contact with the people that are gonna make things happen and it all started with Tommy and The Buzz. Arkansans helping Arkansans.
Now you know that with all the Arkansans helping Arkansans, we have to work closely with our brethren. At times times things can get heated and a friendly argument can erupt. not really and argument but rather a heated debate among pals. Tommy brings up Arkansas playing Notre Dame and winning would be the biggest win for the Razorback program ever. That's the short version. See if you can hear when Tommy changes what he was saying. Nevertheless it was a good one.
That thing wore me out hearing it again. I gotta go battle wasp. I think I have 'em licked. If not I'm screwed. Have a safe Hump Day. Stay cool.
