Show With No Name

Friday...Football...Fletcher

9/1/2012 8:25 AM

Hurricane Isaac could not delay The Show With No Name LIVE broadcast at Fletcher Dodge in Sherwood. Nor could it dampen our Friday morning. And it was not just any Friday morning. This was the Friday before GAME DAY! Arkansas Razorback Game Day Baby!  We were loaded with football talk and giveaways. The Buzz gave away Hog tickets while Frank Fletcher and Mark Miller gave away 5, count 'em 5, TVs! If that wasn't enough, and apparently it wasn't it, Mr. Frank Fletcher bought 100 tickets, lets count them again also, 100 Razorback tickets for next weeks home opener at War Memorial Stadium. Now that's what I'm talking about! The guy spent that cash to give away to those that might not normally get to attend a game. Half of them, The Artist Formerly Known as The Outlaw, Tommy Smith, will be providing for the kids at Youth Home. Awesome! On top of the fact that Frank purchasing those tickets is his way of helping you and me in Central Arkansas fight off the dreaded N.W. Arkansas elite and keep some games at War Memorial! Awesome Again!

Giving away game tickets is not something that is taking lightly on the morning program. No sirree!

We were very excited to welcome into the fold this year, Herm Edwards. We have had Mark May for the last couple of years talking about college games but, Herm was brought in to speak about the pro game this season. Ya gotta say thanks to Razorback Camper Sales in Hot Springs for this guy. Please call 'em and let them know you appreciate gettin' Herm for us.

This season, Rasslin' Man has also been brought on to give his picks on a couple of games a week that don't really get all that much attention from the 'experts'. He was given $1000.00 for the season to wager on the games. Now before ya get all up in arms about Signal Media allowing gambling, Calm Down. Rasllin' Man says that he has every intention of giving the balance at the end of the year to a charity unless as he put it, "It gitsh shtolen".  My buddy and Sensei David Bazzel wasn't paying much attention when Rasslin' Man was on. I can't say that I blame him.  He was looking on his computer of the photos of him and Beth Hunt, who happened to be there as our Celebrity Game Picker of the Week Then he had a conversation with, Christina Munoz via the hot-line.

Have a great Labor Day Weekend! We will be back and talk atcha on Tuesday. Oh, and just in case you don't hear it enough this weekend...............WOOOOOOOOO PIG SOOOOOIE!!!!!!!
