The Show With No Name went Back To The Future this morning. It was all about the decade of The 80's. The movies included, well, Back to the Future, Lethal Weapon, Terminator, Top Gun, and a couple of Eddie Murphy movies, Coming to America, and 48 Hours to just name a very few. The fashion was set by Members Only Jackets and pastel shirts with a sport coat. David Bazzel rocked that look ya know. But, there is no piece of clothing that can do justice to that piece of physical specimen. Miami Vice was the go to TV show for him. DUH!!
The music of the 80's was owned by Michael Jackson with Madonna coming in at # 2. A distant # 2. Michael released the best selling album of all time, Thriller, in 1982. The keyboard synthesizer was a big thing in music during the decade.
The Artist Formerly Known As The Outlaw, Tommy Smith, contends that the Arkansas Razorbacks had the best decade in it's over 100 years of existence, during the 1980's. The coaches were Lou Holtz and Ken Hatfield. Not too shabby. Went to a bowl game 9 outta those 10 years. I'd look that up but, I don't really have time soooooo, lets just take my word. Need I remind you that David Bazzel played in the 80's? Didn't think so.
John Daly was at the school, track was getting its groove on with the greatest, most winning-est coach in the history of the institution, John McDonnell. His Hogs won their first National Title in the 80's and went on to win close to 1 batrillion after that!! Oh yea, how 'bout the hire of Nolan Richardson! The man made the Razorbacks a team to be reckoned with and champions! Yeppers, I the The Artist may be correct.
I got married and had two of my three kids. Well, I did have a little help with that though. No I did.
Alrighty then! I gotta get. I have to go pick up a birthday present for a buddy of mine. James Ballentine is 50! It was also in the 80's that JB defended our country from invasion of the communist and body snatchers at an undisclosed location in Colorado. Thanks for being on that wall James Ballentine. By the way, I don't think he has an autographed photo of me in his office. Well, my boy my boy. He's gonna get one now. Happy Birthday James!
Tommy, David, RJ, and myself thank ya for listening and making The Buzz and The Show With No Name your #1 station!
