Fridays are always a special day. For most it's payday, the end of the work week, and if you're lucky it's pizza night. On the Show With No Name we do the broadcast on the road. Today was actually the last away game for a while. We spent the the morning in Conway at EM Jeans downtown on Oak St.. It was raining when I pulled up 'bout 5:45 and met one of the owners Larry. He took the table in as i followed and Shelley introduced me to Larrys partner Liz. Two of the coolest and nicest people. They made custom Tee shirts with The Buzz Live Broadcast and our names and date. Awesome to see my name in lights, if you will, along side Tommy Smith and David Bazzel.
We were treated to breakfast from Bob's Grill by a gentleman from First security Bank. Not sure what the fellas had but , mine was a vegetable omelet with chunks of ham. Does that cancel out the veggie part? It was great. With a side of grits. Ooh Wee!
Buzz Babe Katie stopped by. She along with EM employees Melissa and Susan put on a modeling show and it was spectacular! They did Liz and Larry proud. Thank you God for helping someone invent the off one shoulder, V-cut, and plunging neckline in ladies wear.
Tommy was outside a bunch talking and taking photos with a mannequin. Did i mentioned it was raining? He is bound and determined to have one in the studio. Tommy said at least the mannequin wouldn't be texting during the show. Man of action David Bazzel will get that done for his partner of six years.
We covered more than the ladies did. I think I can speak for my morning show brothers when I say we prefer it that way. From the NBA game, the realignment of college football, the sixteen year old girl lost in the ocean on a trip around the world, and of course, the oil spill. Our man Rasslin ' Man was again on location talking about the devastation along with the mutation of the sea life. You know the guy is just a head on a stick.
Thank you again to Larry, Liz, and the entire staff at EM Jeans. If you want to impress others with you dress, this is one place that can make that happen. I should know. Oh I didn't tell you? David may not want me to tell you because that is the type of guy he is but, he dropped some cash on his little workout buddy. I walked out of EM Jeans with 5 times what he had and it's all just a gift because he likes to do things for his friends. He not only looks and idolizes Elvis he is generous to his friends as well. Thank you David Bazzel.
Oh my gosh! I almost forgot. I met Damon Poole.Damon is better known as with all due respect, The Wook. He is a huge man. I was four steps above him and he still towered over me. I know that may not be saying much. Not to be lost in any of this is that the Wookie is a very kind young man. The pleasure was mine.
Have a great weekend. We'll holla atcha Monday.
