The Show With No Name

Hello November!

11/1/2010 1:46 PM

That's right November is here and October and Halloween are in the rear view mirror. Just not before we clean up a little unfinished business if'n you please. David and I went on a ghost hunt in the Flag and Banner building which at one time was on the 'Chitlin' Circuit route.  The "Chitlin' Circuit" was the collective name given to the string of performance venues throughout the eastern and southern United States that were safe and acceptable for African American musicians, comedians, and other entertainers to perform during the age of racial segregation in the United States. The name derives from the soul food item chitterlings. (stewed pig intestines) There's your history lesson and here's your audio of the ghost hunt and recording of me asking for a ghost to respond and at the same time I hit my phone and the voice command comes on. What can I say, it was dark.

Everyone loves it when Lou Holtz is on the show. I didn't get to give it to you Friday so here is Coach.

Today was the first time in many months that Tommy did Chances Are with Harry King.

Three time Super Bowl Champion Bill Bates is in town appearing at the Touchdown Club. No doubt The Show With No Name would have him.

Tomorrow is election day and we should have a couple of folks on the show Shane Broadway, maybe Gov. Beebe, and Sen. Blanche Lincoln.

Thanks for listening and making The Buzz 103.7 your #1 station. Join The Show With No Name from 6a-10a Mon-Fri with Tommy Smith, David Bazzel, Danny-Joe Crofford and myself.
