It was my first Thanksgiving Eve show at a big time radio station in such a long time I tried to soak it all in the best I could. We were broadcasting live from Doublebee's on Fair Park and Markham. Ever heard of it? Right across the street from the stadium. War Memorial Stadium. Ever heard of it? Wrote a song about it. Want to hear it? Here it goes. Along with the NEW VIDEO complements of David Bazzel and Fourth Quarter Productions.
Wildman brought his cousin RD in the studio today. Those two did a little Smother Brothers routine. Who are The Smothers Brothers? Ask James 'B-Tine' Ballentine.
Dr. Lou gave us our weekly dose of his football knowledge. It's not that bad if he would just rip the bandage off instead of slowly pulling every hair out along with it so we can keep up with genius that is our Lou Holtz.
You may ask yourself, no way did we have two doctors on one show? I would have to answer you, way, we did. Dr. Ruth Westheimer.
Today is David Bazzels dads 70th birthday. I never met the man but there have been a couple of occasions when I spoke with him and even sang a little Dean Martin for his listening pleasure. Well he didn't say it sucked. Of course I don't think the elder Mr. Bazzel would even if he felt that way. Happy Birthday Mr. Bazzel.
The next couple of days we at the Buzz will be off the air doing our thang with our families, I hope your thang with your family is as wonderful and filled with blessing as can be. I have so much to be thankful for that I could write from now until the Mayan calendar says stop doing it 'cause the world is 'bout ready to explode boy. And that's how my Mayans talk. Thank you Buzz family. That goes for those at 103.7 and those that listen to 103.7. Especially YOU! and YOU know who YOU are. See you Saturday at The Buzz Tailgate Party. Go Hogs Go!! Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks for listening and making The Buzz 103.7 your #1 station. Join The Show With No Name from 6a-10a Mon-Fri with Tommy Smith, David Bazzel, Danny-Joe Crofford and myself.
