The Show With No Name

Christmas Eve-Eve

12/23/2010 12:19 PM

Today is December 23. Christmas Eve-Eve if you will. This is my first Christmas on staff with The Show With No Name. A few of the listeners, aka JK, informed me that today would be Christmas music, bits, and parodies heavy. They, he, wanted to hear a few things yesterday because they, he, would be out of pocket today. The JKs of the world wanted to hear The Dragnet Christmas. Seems it has become a tradition. Well the old Outlaw did not disappoint. He delivered yesterday and today for that matter. Christmas Eve-Eve was what JK said it would be as far as The Show With No Name goes. Tommy called me last night and informed me if would be just that. No complaint here for sure. I like Christmas stuff. Who doesn't it? Don't answer that.

We also crowned the Christmas Song Bracket Champion. And the award goes to......Silent Night performed by the Temptations. It wasn't close until the end but it edged out Bing Crosby and White Christmas. It was a brilliant bracket appreciated no one but me! Hey here is something that will really have you scratching your head. My favorite song to sing around the house this time of year is from a 1970 version of Scrooge starring Albert Finney. It Doesn't even mention Christmas. The Scotts sing it. Sing it nothing. We dance it! OK I dance it ant the rest of the family sings it. Here I go! Thank You Very Much!! One more thing on that. I'm sorry I'm not sorry I like it!

A few last minute before Christmas visitors this morning. Weather Ninja and EZ. EZ brought the staff gifts. Todd Yakoubian hung out some and played our reindeer games. Kenny brought some biscuits and gravy with a side of deer meat. Very, very good grub. Sonic dropped off sandwiches and breakfast burritos.

All in all It was a fun show. No worries and just a bunch of good laughs and Merry Christmases I hope you all have a wonderful and blessed Christmas with your family. If you don't have anyone to spend it with do not spend it alone. Your are welcome to join me and my family. My numbers in the book.

We are off Friday Christmas Eve  and Monday the 27th. Take it away Tiny Tim. Not that Tiny Tim! The other Tiny Tim.       MERRY CHRISTMAS!
