Take It Away Willie Nelson

What a wonderful experience being a part of the 2011 Sugar Bowl. New Orleans, friends, and family having a blast cheering on our Hogs. The game did not turn out the way we wanted it to but looking on the bright side.......Razorback Sugar Bowl shirts on sale 4 for 20 bucks. BOOM! Looks like I won't disappoint a few folks after all.
I know I won't remember everything I want to in this one entry so suffice is to say I will pepper the next few blogs with tales from The Big Easy I'm sure. I have been here a few times before but never enjoyed it as much as this one. I had a blast hanging with David, Justin, Pat, James 'Stien' Ballentine and wife Tracey. Lindy did a great job as usual and expected. Of course the problem with naming some is I will leave out others. Getting to spend time with listeners and friends so far from the usual places back home was really cool. Shoot it made it feel like home. Sorta like running into them at Wal-Mart. After all we were all wearing Hog shirts just like back home. A very big treat was walking Bourbon Street with my middle son Zac and his buddies from work. Yea I know I'm getting old and sentimental but still it was special. I told Zac we now could possibly have to have a photo taken in as many different cities as there are letters of the alphabet. We have Beale Street in Memphis and now Bourbon in New Orleans. We could knock out the Y city with Yazoo, Mississippi. Wait, we have a Y-City in Arkansas. It's starting to come together Pepper.
Well we have not left as of yet and it is after 12 noon. David and I hit one last place for the, 'You Just Have To Factor', Cafe Du Monde. The Beignets fixins are all over the EM Jeans. If that's the worst thing that happens to me after the magnificent time I have been afforded here in The Big Easy I'm gonna be fine.
Gotta go for now so with all due respect to all Razorback fans please let Willie Nelson start our trek back home.
