The Zone

There was no shortage of excitement this weekend.  Penn St. got the hammer thrown at them and Ernie Els rose from the shadows to wunt the British Open.

Thanks to the lovely and talented Christina Lecuyer.  The pro golfer was kind enought o hang in The Zone with us today.  She gave us her rundown on the Open and felt Penn St. got everything they deserved.

Congrats to the Big Easy, Ernie Els.  He birdied the 18th hole and finished at 7 under then proceeded to watch Adam Scott shrivel down the stretch to give the big man another major.

It's hard not to feel bad for Scott but as long as he has Stevie Williams as his caddie I can't root for him.

The shocking decision from the NCAA came down on Penn St. today.  Fined $60 million, no postseason for 4 years, any player can transfer and play immediately at any other school and a significant loss of scholarships and they forfeit every win from 1998 to 2011.  That's 111 and Joe Paterno no longer has the record.

And to add insult to injury, JoePa's statue was ripped down from in front of the stadium.

Tomorrow we're finally back at full strength with Justin back from his high school reunion!!!  The Zone is back!
