BOSTON IN OUR HEARTS

After the show Monday, we learned of the terrible bombing at the Boston Marathon. A runner who was there, Kim Howard from Mineral Springs, Arkansas, provided a first-hand account of what he saw yesterday. It was Kim's third time to run the race and he had finished the race and was about two blocks away when the explosions happened.
Scott Faldon who is the Sports Editor for the Ft. Smith Times also called in to share some accounts from some runners he spoke with. Our buddy, Jim Harris from Sporting Life Arkansas, was in studio for the whole show today, so who better for us to talk about today's Arkansas Baseball double-header at Nebraska with than than ol' Jimbo!
During the show, we found out that Hunter Mickelson was leaving the Razorback basketball program. We discussed this and take some of your opinions on the matter on the Keathley Service Live fan feedback.
On to talk about the 16th annual Food and Foam Fest were Angela Harris along with Bryce Nall of Golden Eagle. The event is Friday, April 26th from 6pm to 9pm at Dickey Stephen Park and benefits the Arthritis Foundation. For a few extra bucks you can get in as a VIP and get a chance at some extra special beer treats. There will be sampling of over 250 beers and food from lots of local restaurants. We gave away a pair of tickets today and you can call 501-664-4591 or check out the website HERE.
In with his Average Guy Movie Review and also making our ZONE SEGMENT OF THE DAY was Chris Kramolis from Tropical Smoothie cafe. This segment stood out because in all of the years Chris has been coming up and reviewing movies he has never given such a scathing review as he did with this one for a movie named "The Place Beyond the Pines". Yeah that's right NO BANANAS FOR YOU!!!
Coming up in THE ZONE on Wednesday, Christina Lecuyer is back in along with Cory Biggs and Brad Martin of First Tee of Central Arkansas. Krazy Mike finally returns with food from Krazy Mike's Shrimp and Wings and we will get a Razorback Recap from Rick Schaeffer. Sean Smith from the ATA will stop, kick and chop his way into the studio and we will speak with Barrett Sallee from Bleacher Report. Thanks for listening to THE ZONE from 10 to 1!
