The Zone

STARTING THE WEEK WITH A HOLE IN ONE

4/22/2013 1:32 PM

The Zone was live from Rebsamen Golf Course today for the Buzz Golf Tournament and we were joined by KATV's Chris Kane. When we ended the show last Friday we were following the breaking news on the man hunt for the 2nd Boston bomber. Well in some of the most gripping reality television ever, they found and captured him that night. This picture is a thermal image from the Helicopter of the suspect hiding in a boat. We discuss the coverage and in this segment we also recap the weekends NBA playoff games.

Starting tonight on The Sundance Channel, a new show written by Graham Gordy called Rectify begins. Graham joined us at Rebsamen to talk about the new show and the art of writing for film in general.

The Razorback Baseball team won 2 out of 3 of their weekend series games against Texas A&M this weekend. On to talk about the team was U of A Hitting Coach Todd Butler. He tells us he sees good things on the horizen for his team and we previewed the game tomorrow against Oklahoma and this weekends series match up at Athens, Ga.

This past weekend we also had the Red-White game. There was an announced crowd of over 51,000 and we break it down and look towards the regular season.

In our ZONE SEGMENT OF THE DAY, we play audio of a news anchor's first day on the job, AJ Clemente, who had an on air gaffe that led me to share a story about my own on air flub during my days at KATV.

Coming up Tuesday, we will talk to former Razorback T.E. Chris Gragg about the NFL Draft, Big Joe Kleine about the NBA, and J.J. Meadors about the Spring Game. All that and more tomorrow on The Zone from 10 to 1 and as always, we thank you for listening!
