  Today in the Zone we talked to Arkansas native Harry Thomason. He was the producer and director for the TV show Designing Women and directed the show Evening Shade. He was on with us to promote the Little Rock Film Festival. He recently produced and directed the feature film The Last Ride about Hank Williams which is available for pre-order and will be released on video, digital, and on demand on June 4. He also talked about the movie Bridegroom which is about marriage equality and the struggle to get it made. 

In studio to talk about the Arkanas Salutes the Troops golf tournament was army wife Kim Ayers. It is a golf tournament, concert and full day of family fun to raise money for financially stressed military families here in Arkanas. With her she brought PGA golfer Richard Johnson. The event will be emceed by Chris "Sugar" Kane and performing will be the River Billy Band and Tragikly White. The event June 1st at the Greystone Country Club in Cabot. Registration for the tournament is at 7:30 am with a shotgun start at 8 and 12:30 pm registration with a 1pm start and the concert is at 7pm. The concert is free and the tournament is 300 dollars for a 4 man team and Long Drive Champ Bobby Wilson will be participating. 

The Preakness is coming up this Saturday and on to talk with us about it was Dick Jerardi from the Philadelphia Daily News. Dick was with us courtesy of Xpressbetcom, the leagal, licensed, no-fee way to play the races when you can't make it to the track.
