The Zone

We were on full alert during the show today in eager anticipation of the birth of the royal baby. To celebrate we played songs with “Baby” in the title in and out of break. Unfortunately we were stood up and no baby announcement came. That was just as well for today’s guest host, KATV’s Chris Kane. Chris expressed his disinterest throughout the show in anything relating to the royal family. We haven't had this kind of excitement since the famous "Panda Watch" from a few years back.

In an example of the circle that is life we have a sad announcement during the show of the passing of actor Dennis Farina. We will remember him by playing audio clips of his movie and TV appearances on Tuesday’s show.

On Tuesday’s we have started doing a top ten list. Well today is Monday but we thought “What the hay?” and decided to do a list a day early. Here is the top ten teams hurt by the 2013 schedule.

With Johnny Manziel’s underage drinking and missing the Manning camp we talk about some other “bad boys” of sports. One story involves Florida Gators player Antonio Morrison who was arrested this past weekend for barking at a police dog. In all fairness to the accused, the dog did bark at him first.

In our Zone Segment of the Day we wonder “What is up with Ohio?”. In this latest story we find out about a pair of brother and sister Rhino’s who are scheduled to be mated.

Tuesday we will be live at US Pizza in Conway to support the American Cancer Society. We will be joined by Christina Lecuyer and talk to Jim Harris from Sporting Life Arkansas and UCA defensive coordinator Matt Williamson. We thank you for listening to The Zone weekdays from 10 to 1!
