The Zone

11/15/2013 1:45 PM

Well Justin was out Friday making his way to Louisiana for the UCA game Saturday but The Zone was still in very capable hands as Phil Elson sits in as host. Along with Phil for the show was the PigSkin Preacher. Phil is our resident baseball expert and yesterday the MLB MVP’s were announced and that is the focus of this segement.

The Battle of the Ravine is on a lot of peoples’ minds this week. Earlier in the week we spoke with Coach Todd Knight. Today on The Stickyz hotline we talk to Henderson State Head Coach Scott Maxfield about this years battle.

Phil and Rj call the games for Henderson St. and we talk some more about the annual match up with the Hawk man. We also get a call from a Henderson alum during this segment who has a family member playing for Ouachita Baptist.

Thankfully it’s a BYE week. In our Jim’s Razorback Pizza Report we talk to Robbie Neiswanger from the Arkansas News Bureau. We talk some about Bielema referring to L.R. games as away games and also some Hog basketball.

On with us to talk some more college basketball was C.J. Moore. He is the lead college basketball writer for Bleacher Report.

In our Zone Rewind we look back at the best interview and show moments from the week. This week we hear from that Incognito guy and Mike Tyson talking about an Aids scare.

Monday we will be live from The LRTDC presented by Epoch Health. Rj and Phil will be hosting and we hope you have a safe weekend until then. As always we thank you for listening to The Zone from 10 to 1 with Justin Acri!
