The Zone

11/22/2013 1:39 PM

Friday in The Zone we we spend some time observing the 50th anniversary of the John F. Kennedy assassination. In this segment we hear from Sarge who was in the Army at the time. He gives us his perspective as a young soldier in Germany when he heard the news that the President had been shot.

From Sporting Life Arkansas we talk to Evin Demeril. He tells us about an article he wrote about The Razorbacks playing a game a day after the assassination. He also tells us about an interesting connection to Jack Ruby who would go on to kill Lee Harvey Oswald. You can check the full article by visiting Sporting Life Arkansas HERE.

Our buddy Matt Stell has been sitting in with us this week and doing an excellent job. He will be playing at The Rev Room Saturday night and in this segment we look at the lighter side of things with “Matt Stell’s Silver Linings”.

In this segment we preview the upcoming NFL games.

In our Blind Pig picks we hope to continue our successful streak of picking college games.

Here we hear a clip of The Iowa Nice Guy. He is talking a little bit about punting.

We discuss the developments in the Jameis Winston situation as well. The Heisman candidate has been accused of sexual assault and we talk about the latest details.

In this week’s Matty T. minute I tell you what is out at the theatres. This week we have the new Hunger Games sequel with America’s next sweetheart Jennifer Lawrence.

In our Zone Rewind we look back at the best interview and show moments of the week.

Monday we will be live from the Little Rock Touchdown Club and until then we hope to see you out at the Buzz Ultimate Tailgate Party. As always, we thank you for listening to The Zone from 10 to 1 with Justin Acri!
