The Zone

Wednesday in The Zone we were joined in studio by a gentleman who we haven’t seen in awhile. Jermain “Bad Intentions” Taylor joins us in The Zone to talk about his return to the ring. After a 14 month long hiatus he will be returning to fight J.C. Candelo on Dec 14th. The match up will take place in San Antonio and be broadcast on Showtime.

A good part of the show today was spent debating the Jameis Winston situation. Christina and Wally were in today and their opinions varied from Justin’s. He made the argument that this is America and if charges have not even been filed against Winston than nobody should consider him guilty yet. Wally took a different stance as you will hear in this segment.

We continue this discussion after we return from a break. In this segment we hear from callers who weigh in on the issue.

This whole conversation came about because Winston is a lead candidate in the Heisman race. With Wally being one of those who is able to vote we discuss who he is considering casting his vote for.

From Bleacher Report we talk to Michael Felder. He is the lead college football writer and we also get his take on Winston.

The movie Anchorman 2 opening soon and the great Will Ferrell is really making the rounds. He will be anchoring Sports Center tonight and also has a brand of Scotch out. In this segment we hear from the great Ron Burgundy.

We also get a good ol’ top ten list in today. In this segment we find out the top ten most popular dog names for males and females (peanut butter not included).

Thursday we will be live from Jones Bros. and will talk college football with Edward Aschoff form We will also talk to Barrett Sallee from Bleacher Report and Mark Abernathy about the proposed tax to restore Robinson Auditorium. As always, we thank you for listening to The Zone with Justin Acri weekdays from 10 to 1!
