#ZONE ON THE ROAD FROM THE TAVERN AS RECORDS FALL

2/6/2014 9:47 PM

Great to be back on the road at Tavern Sports Grill at The Promenade at Chenal in West Little Rock.

The talk of the day was the record setting performance by Hogs freshman Bibby Portis in a lackluster win vs Alabama at Bud Walton. It's was 13 degrees outside and some that we're there said it was even colder inside but not for the Mickey D's All-American. BP poured in a freshman record 35 points to break Scotty "The Shot" Thurman's record of 34 (twice) as a frosh. Yeah, Scotty was THAT good. Understatement of the year is Bobby put the team on his back. The kid was a matchup nightmare for Bama and he's getting better every day. He might not tally 35 again this season but no doubt he's playing on another level. They'll need all that and more at Vandy Saturday.

Thanks To Jacksonville native Clinton McDonald for joining us in The Zone today.  The big fella won a SuperBowl ring as  D-Lineman with the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.  Great guy who remembers is high school days well, especially the big win vs Cabot in the Backyard Brawl his senior season.

We're back on the road again Friday at Cartridge World in NLR as Justin and I sling some ink!  I'll give you my Pat's 3POINTERS for a Razorbacks win at Vandy!

Always check us out on twitter @JustinAcri7 and @PatBradley22
