The Zone

THESE BOOTS WERE MADE FOR WALKEN

3/31/2014 2:47 PM

Monday The Zone was live at Lander’s CDJR. The big news over the weekend related to Arkansas sports is that ESPN commentator Jimmy Dykes will be the new women’s basketball coach at Arkansas. In this segment we hear from Jeff Long and Justin and Pat discuss there takes on the hire.

The callers had plenty of opinions on this issue is well. In this segment we open it up to you and hear the listener’s take on the new information.

There was plenty of NCAA tournament action over the weekend. In this segment we discuss how our brackets are doing. We also hear plenty of highlights from the games and get coach’s reactions.

Apparently there were some upset Arizona fans after their loss to Wisconsin. Understandably, the cops went in with bean bag guns and pepper spray to show everyone who is really in charge.

Some of the charges against students included resisting arrest and unlawful assembly. This makes perfect sense because this is the United State after all and there is very little tolerance for unlawful assembly when it comes to college students. Just refer back to May 4, 1970 at Kent State for a little history refresher.

On to happier things, we did have fun with some B-day trivia today. We wished a very happy birthday to a great actor, Christopher Walken.

This also gave us the opportunity to play some more clips from Mr. Walken, as if we needed an excuse.

Coming up Tuesday, Justin and Pat are back in studio. As always, we thank you for listening to The Zone form 10 to 1 with Justin Acri and Pat Bradley!
