The Zone

STORM STORIES

4/28/2014 2:10 PM

Monday in The Zone was a more somber show because of the sever weather Sunday night. The damage was extraordinary and the loss of life tragic so this was really the focus of the show today. Gov. Mike Beebe gave a live press conference and we carry his comments live.

People were calling in asking how they can help. One of the best way right now to help is to donate to the Red Cross. From the Red Cross we are joined on the Stickyz hotline by Bridget Williams who tells us all of the way’s they have made it easy to contribute.

KATV’s Chris Kane was up at 2am reporting on the lives lost and the damage. He joins us in studio to give his first hand account of what he saw. He compared what he saw to being in a post apocalyptic world.

A fellow employee of ours was close to wear the tornado’s touched down last night. Keri calls in to tell us her experience from last night.

The big national sports story, which seems so trivial at this moment, is the racist comments made by the Clipper's owner Donald Sterling. In this segment we discuss this situation.

Tuesday we will be live from Landers Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep in Benton and will continue to update on how to help those affected by this storm. Until then, we thank you for listening to The Zone with Justin Acri and Pat Bradley
