The Zone

6/17/2014 1:19 PM

Tuesday in The Zone we keep things moving right along after a win at the World Cup by the good ol’ US of A! We took on some country called “Ghana” and in this segments we hear the highlights and interviews and discuss the game.

Last week, audio of former UALR Baseball Coach Scott Norwood surfaced of him in the locker room being verbally abusive. That audio exposed some pervious allegations against Norwood which involve sexual harassment and physical and verbal abuse. Joining us on the Stickyz hotline was UALR Athletic Director Chris Peterson who gave us an update on the situation and the future of the baseball program at this point.

From Sporting Life Arkansas we are joined by Jim Harris. He is with us every Tuesday and today we recap the US Open, the World Cup, Razorbacks and whatever else we felt like talking about.

As I mentioned earlier, it’s Tuesday. You know what that means? A top ten list! Well it’s only a top nine list but we were running short on time.

I post this next piece of audio not because this caller makes any sort of point but because, to me at least, it is fascinating people can still be so closed-minded in 2014. In this segment a caller wants to talk about Razorback Alex Collins and a picture that he finds offensive posted on Facebook.  You will hear what the caller has an issue with, followed by a verbal beating of epic proportions by one Justin Acri.

Coming up Wednesday, we will be joined by Wally Hall thanks to Deltic Timber. We will talk to Michael Felder from Bleacher Report, play the “Word Cup” for prizes and be joined by Sync Weekly’s Nate Olson. Thanks for listening to The Zone from 10 to 1 with Justin Acri!
