Dylan Breeding Named 2011 Burlsworth Trophy Nominee

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Arkansas punter Dylan Breeding was named a nominee for the 2011 Burlsworth Trophy, which is given to the most outstanding player in America who began his career as a walk-on, on Tuesday.
Breeding has punted 42 times and has an average of 44.6 yards per punt this season, which leads the SEC and ranks 11th in the NCAA. The junior from Hoover, Ala., has dropped 11 punts inside the 20 and has 14 of more than 50 yards, including his long of 59. In addition, 15 of his punts have resulted in fair catches.
The 2010 Burlsworth Trophy winner was Georgia Tech’s Sean Bedford. This year, fans can vote for their favorite Burlsworth Trophy nominee beginning Nov. 22 at burlsworthtrophy.com.
The No. 6 Razorbacks conclude their 2011 home slate by hosting Mississippi State inside War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock on Saturday. The game will be aired on CBS at 2:30 p.m.
