*****Bobby Petrino Statement*****

4/5/2012 10:17 PM

The following is a statement from University of Arkansas football head coach Bobby Petrino:

"The state police report today provides an accurate description of my accident, which includes details that had not publically come to light prior to the report being issued.  I regret that I have not publically acknowledged a passenger on the vehicle.  I have been in constant pain, medicated and the circumstances involving the wreck have come out in bits and pieces.  That said I certainly had a concern about Jessica Dorrell's name being revealed.  In my press conference, I referred to her simply as 'a lady'.  My concern was to protect my family and a previous inappropriate relationship from becoming public.  In hindsight, I showed a serious mistake in judgement when I chose not to be more specific about those details.  Today, I've acknowledged this previous inappropriate relationship with my family and those within the athletic department administration.

I apologize to my wife, Becky, and our four children, Chancellor (David) Gearhart, Jeff Long, the Board of Trustees, University administration, my coaching staff, student-athletes and the entire state of Arkansas.  I have been humbled by the outpouring of concern and get-well wishes.  I apologize to the Razorback Nation for the attention my actions have brought to the University of Arkansas and our program.  I will fully cooperate with the University throughout this process and my hope is to repair my relationships with my family, my Athletic Director, the Razorback Nation and remain the head coach of the Razorbacks."

This sucks! Why do the Razorbacks always screw themselves. It's always something. Nutt didn't like Mustain. Patrino likes 25 yo arss. Who cares. Too much attention to off the field problems!

bobby was a piece of trash when we hired him, we all gave hime a second, third or fourth chance. I perosnally feel duped by this asshole. I wish him nothing but misery cause that is what he brought to us. I hope he never coaches again, he doesnt deserve it, thats a lot of money for a lying piece of garbage. As far as im concerned he can suck it all the way back to montana. I bought into his bullshit, and he is a liar. screw him, he should have died in the crash, that would have been better for everyone involved.

We learned something the other day....we learned that jeff long, aka kermit the frog, has a pair bigger than little bobby petrino. It wasnt easy to fire one of the best football coaches around. I personally think that petrino was a prima donna weiner anyway, arrogant, stupid dickhead with a narcissistic problem. good riddens to that piece of trash.

What we should be talking about is the tragedy to Bobby Petrino's family, first and foremost; secondly to his team and U of A; last, to the fans (diehard/fairweather alike). The unwanted harvest reaped this month from regrettable private decisions have hurt him and the people closest to him the most. Professionally, Bobby exits what is now seen by experts as one of the top college football programs in the nation entering the 2012 season. I suggest we consider and attitude of gratitude for the upgrade Razorback football received under his & Jeff Long's leadership, and most importantly, that we pray for healing to come to his family through better personal decisions by Bobby. May his wife and children come to know a changed man moving forward, and a husband/father more deserving of their trust. Vocal public critics might better invest time in some "closet-cleaning" of their own. Criticism often seems to come from those guilty of similar failings, and is dangerous seed to go

... dangerous seed to go around sowing.

I am very disappointed about the turn of events that led to bobby petrino's termination but understand the athletic director really had no choice as the head coach is not only supposed to win games but teach our young athletes good morals.however i will be eternally grateful to coach petrino for breaking the razorbacks out of straight ahead smash mouth football that was a trademark of the great frank broyles era

Just wanted to say I told all you dumbasses that we would suck without Petrino!!!
