FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The University of Arkansas men's track and field team topped the Texas Longhorn men's track and field team in an indoor dual meet, 88-81, at the Randal Tyson Track Center on Saturday. The Razorbacks picked up eight individual wins and a title in the distance medley relay in front of a crowd of 600-plus.
"What a great event we had today," head coach Chris Bucknam said. "We had great competition on the track and a great turn-out in the stands. You couldn't ask for much more. We had a lot of highlights today and our guys competed and raced well. Young guys like Ben Skidmore, Tarik Batchelor, Cobi Hamilton, Scott Gillespie and Brede Ellingsen really showed up for us today. We are building momentum and getting better every week.”

In the field events, freshman Brede Ellingsen won the high jump with a clearance of 6-10.75 and sophomore Tarik Batchelor won the triple jump with a leap of 49-8.5.
